FREE MEAL AND FOOD SUPPORT
FREE MEAL PROGRAM
The Food Distribution Program for 150 Asnaf students will take place every Monday and Wednesday for one year (2 Mei 2023 - 30 April 2024), provided by suppliers appointed by MAIWP.

IFTAR PERDANA SADAQA HOUSE BANK ISLAM
On 20 March 2024, corresponding to 9 Ramadan, the Iftar Perdana Sadaqa House Bank Islam was held at the UPTM Female Student Residence (Kediaman Siswi). The program was fully sponsored by Sadaqa House Bank Islam as part of the Ihya’ Ramadan initiative.
The event was also attended by Mr. Nasiruddin from Bank Islam Ampang Branch, representing Bank Islam as a special guest. Among the other attendees were Associate Professor Dr. Sharifah Syahirah binti Syed Shiekh, Vice-Chancellor of UPTM; Associate Professor Dr. Syamsul Fozy bin Osman, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs and Alumni; Dr. Saifuddin bin Haji Mohtaram, representing the UPTM Senate; and several officers from UPTM’s Student Affairs Division (HEPA).
A total of 580 male and female students from the university residences were invited to join the communal iftar gathering. Despite the light drizzle, the students came together enthusiastically at the Siswi Residence court to share the blessings of Ramadan.

RAHMAH RAMADAN MAIWP
Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM) was selected as the host for the Rahmah Ramadan MAIWP: Jom Balik Raya 2024 Launch Ceremony. Nearly 800 students from UPTM, Universiti Malaya, Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur branch), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Universiti College MAIWP International, International Islamic College, and Kolej Profesional Baitulmal Kuala Lumpur gathered at the UPTM parking area for the event.

RESIDENTIAL AND ACCOMMODATIONS
Student Accommodation Unit assists students in their search for accommodation while studying at the institution. Presently, the unit is responsible for the management of Desa Siswi Hostel, Sri Pandan Condominium and Bayu Pandan Jaya.
The accommodation unit is able to place students into one of these three location every semester. The hostels are managed by Resident Assistants (RA) who assist students in every aspects possible besides being responsible for their welfare and well-being. Rules and regulation are strictly enforced to ensure a harmonious atmosphere around the hostels and for the sake of the students as well.
Students who rather live off-campus, the unit will assist them by recommending rented homes in the nearby area of the institution. A good rapport with all housing agencies, and the local town-hall authorities (Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, DBKL) is important to ensure the welfare and safety of the students
TRANSPORTATION
UPTM provides buses and vans for the use of staff and students. These facilities are made available to support both students and staff in carrying out various off-campus activities.

EXTRA TRANSPORTATION SUPPORT DURING JOM BALIK RAYA 2024
Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM) was selected as the host for the Rahmah Ramadan MAIWP: Jom Balik Raya 2024 Launching Ceremony. The event gathered nearly 800 students from UPTM, Universiti Malaya, Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur branch), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), MAIWP International University College, International Islamic College, and Kolej Profesional Baitulmal Kuala Lumpur at the UPTM parking area for the program.
The launching ceremony was officiated by YBhg. Tuan Haji Syed Kamarulzaman Syed Kabeer, Chairman of the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP), accompanied by the Acting Chief Executive Officer of MAIWP, Datuk Mohd Nizam Bin Haji Yahya. The ceremony also witnessed the flag-off of 22 buses, including those operated by the well-known company under Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), namely MARA Liner Sdn. Bhd. (MLSB).
The MAIWP Chairman also visited the “Rahmah Centre” or University Community Food Bank located within the UPTM compound, which provides basic necessities to help ease students’ financial burdens. A detailed briefing about this community hub was delivered by Associate Professor Dr. Syamsul Fozy Bin Osman, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs & Alumni.
Students who were selected to receive bus and flight ticket assistance from MAIWP also received travel pocket money of RM100. On Wednesday, 27 March 2024, representatives from UPTM’s Student Affairs Division also accompanied students returning to their hometowns in Sabah, Sarawak, and the Federal Territory of Labuan.
UPTM hopes that this program will continue to benefit and support students from UPTM and other participating institutions, as well as strengthen the spirit of care and community service through MAIWP’s ongoing assistance and support.
