8.2.1 Employment practice unions

Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM) is a member of Kelab Kebajikan Dan Sukan Kakitangan (KKSK). The establishment of this club started with Kelab Kebajikan Dan Sukan Kakitangan Maktab Sains Mara Kuala Lumpur, which was founded in 1993 under the Societies Act 1966.

The club's name was later changed to Kelab Kebajikan Dan Sukan Kakitangan Maktab Sains Mara Kuala Lumpur. In 2017, the organization's name was changed again to Kelab Kebajikan Dan Sukan Kakitangan (KKSK) KPTM (Headquarters & KUPTM).

Membership in this club is open to all staff at KPTM Headquarters (HQ) and Kolej Universiti Poly-Tech MARA (KUPTM) Kuala Lumpur, who serve on either a contractual or permanent basis. The number of members in this club is not limited. Among the purposes of this club's establishment are as follows:

1. To serve as a center for organizing and implementing all welfare and recreational activities for the club's staff (the club's authority and responsibility cover all management processes for welfare and recreational activities deemed appropriate and beneficial).
2. To provide assistance and material contributions to members in need, as well as to help members affected by disasters such as death, to the best of the club's ability.
3. To cooperate and assist KPTM HQ and KUPTM in any activities involving members.
4. To collaborate and assist other KPTM clubs in resolving or strengthening the organization.

Note:

Kolej Universiti Poly-Tech MARA (KUPTM) was upgraded to Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM) in January 2023.
