In 2024, a total of 2,542 students registered at the university. Of this number, 1,721 were female students (68%), while 821 were male students (32%). This indicates that female students formed the majority of the student population, reflecting a continuing trend of higher female participation in higher education. The significant representation of women highlights the university’s inclusive learning environment and its commitment to supporting gender balance and equality in education. 

 

In 2024, Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM) recorded a total student enrollment of 2,542, showing an increase from 2,284 in 2023. Female students remained the majority, growing from 65% in 2023 to 68% in 2024, while male students accounted for 32%. This consistent rise in female enrollment highlights UPTM’s strong commitment to fostering gender balance and empowering women through education.
