PRUDENCE CONSULTING GROUP (PACCT) AND BUMIPUTERA ECONOMIC RESEARCH INSTITUTE (IKEB)

Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM), with the support of MARA, officially launched the Prudence Consulting Group (PACCT) and the Bumiputera Economic Research Institute (IKEB) to nurture professional Bumiputera accountants and drive research on Bumiputera economic development.

Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), through Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM), has established the Bumiputera Economic Research Institute (IKEB) to support the Bumiputera Economic Congress (KEB) agenda.

The ceremony was officiated by YBhg. Datuk Wira Dr. Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, Chairman of MARA, accompanied by MARA senior management, subsidiary CEOs, and UPTM leadership.

MARA Chairman, Datuk Dr. Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, said IKEB’s main objective is to ensure the effective implementation of the KEB 2024 Resolutions and to strengthen Bumiputera economic development through programs in education, entrepreneurship, technology, and the halal industry.

He added that IKEB will also develop strategic frameworks, provide technical support to MARA and stakeholders, and monitor the impact of economic initiatives.

This collaboration between PACCT, UPTM, and IKEB aims to produce more accounting experts with critical thinking skills and to advance the goals of the Bumiputera Economic Congress (KEB). During the ceremony, offer letters were presented to UPTM students selected for industrial training at PACCT.

The event began with “Wacana Sinar”, a live talk show on Sinar Harian and UPTM’s social media platforms, featuring the topic “Bumiputera Socioeconomic Challenges in the Era of Globalisation”, discussed by YB Dato’ Haji Shamshulkahar bin Haji Mohd Deli, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sharifah Syahirah Sy Shiekh, and host Mr. Ismail Adnan.

The Vice-Chancellor of UPTM also presented a book on IKEB articles to the MARA Chairman, and the event concluded with the donation of a laptop from UPTM’s Zakat Unit to a UPTM student.
