8.2.1 Employment practice living wage
All UPTM staff are paid according to the rates set by Federal Legislation. According to Federal Government Gazette, Minimum Wages Order 2022 published by Attorney General’s Chambers (Page 3), the minimum wage order was enacted on May 1, 2022, with a monthly minimum wage of RM1,500 for all sectors, regardless of region, for employers with five or more workers are as follows:
