This program, organized by the Office of the Mufti of the Federal Territories in collaboration with the Center for Islamic, General, and Language Studies & Al-Khawarizmi Library at Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM), was held on 22 March 2023. The event featured guest speakers YBrs. Dr. Syed Shahridzan bin Syed Mohamed Mohamed (Chief Assistant Mufti Research Department), Ustazah Razidah binti Adam (Chief Senior Assistant Director of the Islamic Advancement Policy Division, JAKIM), and SS Datuk Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luqman bin Haji Abdullah (Mufti of the Federal Territories).

MICRO-CREDENTIALS EDUCATION SUMMIT (MCES) 2023
The Micro-Credentials Education Summit (MCES) 2023 took place on 1 June 2023, at the Connexion Conference & Event Centre, Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur. The conference was opened by Benjamin Yeoh (Senior Business Development, Acestar Group) and officially launched by Dato' Prof Dr Mohammad Shatar Sabran, CEO of MQA.
In addition to keynote sessions from invited experts, the conference featured panels of professionals from various industry sectors discussing topics related to micro-credentials. Panelists included representatives from MQA, MDEC, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), UniKL, UTHM, UiTM, Shopee, Alliance Bank, ASUS MALAYSIA, and Dropee.
The UPTM delegation, led by FCOM lecturer Dr. Mariani Mohd Dahlan as the Chair of the UPTM Micro-Credentials Coordination Committee, along with members of the Micro-Credentials Committee comprising lecturers from FCOM, FEHA, and FBASS, also had the opportunity to participate in the conference. This collaboration highlighted the importance of building effective partnerships to advance the development and recognition of micro-credentials. By fostering dialogue and cooperation among these entities, the summit aimed to enhance the quality and relevance of education and training, contributing to the broader goals of inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all

MALAYSIA CYBER SECURITY ECOSYSTEM SYMPOSIUM
We are glad to witness The Malaysia Cyber Security Ecosystem Symposium which is one of CYDES 2023’s forums held today on 10 July 2023 at Mitec Kuala Lumpur.Two discussions session were held this afternoon entitled “Unleashing the Power of CERTs: Countering Cyber Threats Through Collaboration and Innovation" and "Advancing Cyber Hygiene anf Capacity Building".
Three Faculty of Computing and Multimedia (FCOM) lecturers has attended the Conference as participants. They are Zurina binti Jusoh, Ts. Nor Shamshillah binti Kamarzaman and Ab Arif Sanusi bin Ariffin.
After the forum discussion ended, the attendees walk around the exhibition hall to see some insights on the latest technology of #CyberDefense and many exciting activities around CYDES 2023. All happening at CYDES 2023, on 10-13 July, at MITEC Kuala Lumpur.

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CROSS-DISCIPLINARY ACADEMIC RESEARCH 2023 (ICAR 2023)
The 2nd International Conference on Cross-Disciplinary Academic Research 2023 (ICAR 2023), which took place on 25 September 2023 at PNB Perdana Hotel on The Park, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, provide an international platform that allowed researchers, academicians, and industry experts to share and discuss their latest research, ideas, and survey reports. Authors were welcomed to submit their full papers or abstracts for the conference, which went through blind review processes by at least two independent reviewers.
ICAR 2023 exemplified SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering cross-sectoral dialogue between academia and industry. This collaboration was crucial for driving sustainable development initiatives, as it encouraged the exchange of knowledge and best practices across different sectors. The conference promoted international networking, which was vital for addressing global challenges and advancing the SDGs. By bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders, ICAR 2023 supported the generation of innovative ideas, potential collaborations, and business opportunities that contributed to sustainable development goals.

SEMINAR ON WOMEN LEADERSHIP IN HIGHER EDUCATION
Congrats Prof. Madya Dr. Sharifah Syahirah binti Sy Shiekh for representing UPTM as speaker in Seminar on Women Leadership in Higher Education. The primary goal for this seminar is to delve into the latest research findings concerning women leadership in public universities. The seminar elaborate critical role women leaders play in shaping the educational landscape, discuss challenges, and identify opportunities for greater inclusivity and empowerment. This is a collaboration with Akademi Kepimpinan Pendidikan Tinggi (AKEPT) with a special focus on discussing research findings from AKEPT Competency Excellence (ACE) research initiative. The seminar held on 11 October 2023 at the prestigious AKEPT in Bandar Enstek, Negeri Sembilan from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

THE BURSA MALAYSIA VISION: ALIGNING SUSTAINABILITY & DIGITAL INNOVATION FOR THE FUTURE
The 3rd Premier Lecture session by YBhg. Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar, Chairman of Bursa Malaysia, took place at the Al-Khawarizmi Library of Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM) on 30 October 2023. The lecture, titled “The Bursa Malaysia Vision: Aligning Sustainability & Digital Innovation for The Future,” covered a significant topic aimed specifically at ACCA program students. The topic, which explored one of Bursa Malaysia's visions to align sustainability with digital-based innovation, serves as a cornerstone or platform for the development of real-world ideologies in the increasingly challenging field of accounting.
Also present at the morning session were YBrs. Associate Professor Dr. Syamsul Fozy bin Osman, Vice President of Student Development & Campus Lifestyle at UPTM, accompanied by YBrs. Associate Professor Dr. Muhamad Nizam bin Jali, Vice President of Research & Innovation at UPTM, YBrs. Associate Professor Dr. Nurisyal binti Muhamad, Dean of the Institute of Professional Studies (IPS) at UPTM, deputy deans, coordinators, and lecturers from IPS UPTM.
In addition, YBhg. Tan Sri took the opportunity to engage with IPS UPTM students before visiting the IPS Lounge on the 5th floor of UPTM for a session of exchanging views and experiences with IPS UPTM lecturers. UPTM is very proud to have hosted YBhg. Tan Sri today and extends its deepest gratitude for his willingness to share his knowledge with the UPTM community.
