Does your university as an educational body host events at university that are open to the general public: executive education programmes (this refers to short courses for people who are not attending the university; this specifically excludes courses like MBA) and/or vocational training?
MS POWER BI ESSENTIAL – “ANALYSE AND VISUALISE DATA”
Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM) conducted the “MS Power BI Essential – Analyse and Visualise Data” course from 18 to 19 April 2024 at the KPTM Headquarters.
On Day 1, the session was held at Dewan Mawar, Level 4, led by Pn. Jihadah, as the speaker, was assisted by Pn. Nor Zakiah and Cik Noornajwa, as facilitators, are all UPTM staff.Meanwhile,on Day 2, the session continued at Bilik Rafflesia, Level 5, with Dr Nadiah as the speaker and Dr Nor Hafiza and En. Ab Arif Sanusi, serving as a facilitator, is also from UPTM. The course participants comprised KPTM Headquarters staff from various departments.
This initiative reflects UPTM’s commitment as an educational body that provides executive education and vocational training programmes to external participants, particularly professionals from partner institutions. Through such short, skill-based courses, UPTM actively supports digital competency development and continuous learning, aligning with the criteria for universities hosting professional and vocational training open to the public.
SESI PENILAIAN KEBERKESANAN PROGRAM KEUSAHAWANAN MARA
Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM), represented by YBhg. Prof. Dr. Suhaily binti Mohd Ramly, Timbalan Pengarah (Pengurusan Penyelidikan dan Geran), Institut Kajian Ekonomi Bumiputera, was appointed as the program operator for the Sesi Penilaian Keberkesanan Program Keusahawanan MARA organized by the Akademi Kecemerlangan MARA (AKM). The session took place from 17 to 19 July 2024 at Hotel Tenera, Bandar Baru Bangi, and involved 10 participants.
This engagement illustrates UPTM’s active involvement as an educational body in conducting executive education and vocational training programmes for external participants through collaboration with national agencies such as MARA. The program promotes professional development and community empowerment, aligning with the indicator that recognizes universities hosting short courses open to the general public.

New students of Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM) are invited to join the UPTM Alumni Talk Session titled Webinar Citra Alumni Jaya UPTM Series 9, which will be held on 10 August 2024, from 8.00 PM to 9.00 PM. The session will be streamed live via the UPTM Counsellor YouTube Channel.
