OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH MONTH CAMPAIGN (OSH-FEST 2024)
In support of the UPTM Occupational Safety and Health Month Campaign 2024 (OSH-FEST 2024), Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM) organized various health-focused activities, including Senamrobik/Zumba sessions and Free Health Screenings, to encourage an active and healthy lifestyle among staff and students.
The UPTM Management and the OSH-FEST 3.0 Committee 2024 motivated all staff to participate actively, emphasizing the campaign’s goal of promoting personal health, workplace safety, and overall well-being.
As part of the campaign, UPTM also held a Free Health Screening and HPV Vaccination session for staff and students, aimed at raising health awareness and promoting preventive healthcare practices within the campus community. The services provided included:

UPTM CELEBRATES NATIONAL SPORTS DAY 2024
The excitement of National Sports Day /Hari Sukan Negara (HSN) 2024 at the Cheras District level was celebrated with great enthusiasm at UPTM on 12 October 2024 (Saturday). UPTM was selected as the host for the Cheras area in collaboration with the Federal Territory Department of Youth and Sports. A total of 1,000 participants, including local residents, students, and UPTM staff, took part in the event.
At the same time, UPTM also took the opportunity to launch the Occupational Safety and Health Month 2024 (OSH-FEST), which will take place throughout October and November.

On 18 October 2024 (Friday), the Occupational Safety and Health Committee (JKKP) of Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM) invited all staff to participate in a Senamrobik/Zumba session held at the UPTM Futsal Court starting at 8:30 a.m. Participants were encouraged to wear sports attire and engage actively in the session. A variety of exciting activities will be held throughout this campaign, running from October to November.
This program, part of OSH-FEST 2024, aimed to promote physical fitness, burn calories, and encourage a healthy and active lifestyle among UPTM staff. It served as a motivator for maintaining overall health, energy, and well-being. Staff participation was enthusiastic, reflecting a shared commitment to practicing healthy habits and supporting workplace wellness initiatives.

BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN BY OSH-FEST 2024
The Blood Donation Campaign organized by the Occupational Safety and Health Committee (JKKP) in conjunction with OSH-FEST 2024 successfully concluded on Tuesday, 22 October 2024. The campaign received tremendous support from UPTM students and staff, reflecting a strong spirit of community care and social responsibility.
Congratulations are extended to the Faculty of Business & Accountancy (FABA) for being recognized as the Most Generous Donor Faculty. The event created many meaningful moments, showcasing compassion and solidarity among the UPTM community.

FREE HEALTH SCREENINGS
SENAMROBIK OSH-FEST & SOLIDARITI PALESTIN 2024
On 15 November 2024, Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM) organized a Senamrobik session alongside the “Jom OOTD Hijau” campaign to show solidarity with Palestine. The program received full support from UPTM staff, including both academic and non-academic personnel. Participants embraced the green-themed attire, symbolizing solidarity with Palestine, while engaging in physical activity to promote health, wellness, and community spirit.
This initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being) by fostering physical fitness, mental wellness, and social cohesion among staff, while also promoting global awareness and empathy through solidarity initiatives.

FLAG-OFF CEREMONY FOR UPTM CONTINGENT TO MASISWA NETWORKING GAMES 2024
The Flag-Off Ceremony for the Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM) Contingent to the MASISWA Networking Games 2024 was held on 15 November 2024 at the Dewan Bunga Raya, Kolej Poly-Tech MARA Headquarters.
The event was officiated by YBhg. Encik Radzuan bin Razali, Chief Executive Officer of KPTM Sdn. Bhd., and attended by YBhg. Associate Professor Dr. Sharifah Syahirah Sy Shiekh, Vice- Chancellor of UPTM, together with senior management members from both KPTM and UPTM.
During the ceremony, official jackets were presented, and the UPTM contingent flag was handed over to Mr. Mohd Yusup bin Abd Sari, who served as the Chief de Mission.
The ceremony aimed to boost morale and show appreciation to the athletes representing UPTM in the MASISWA Networking Games 2024, held from 28 November to 1 December 2024 in Penang. The event successfully fostered team spirit, motivation, and unity among participants as they prepared to bring pride to the university.

VICE CHANCELLOR’S CUP BOWLING CHAMPIONSHIP 2024
In conjunction with the Occupational Safety and Health Month 2024, the OSH-FEST 2024 Committee organized the Vice Chancellor’s Cup Bowling Championship on Friday, 22 November 2024, at Ampang Point, Kuala Lumpur.
The event received overwhelming participation from UPTM staff, fostering camaraderie and teamwork among colleagues. The championship was officially launched by Mr. Md Hanafizah bin Ya’acob, Registrar of UPTM, who rolled the first bowling ball as a symbolic gesture of the opening ceremony.
This program not only encouraged healthy competition and team spirit, but also promoted an active and balanced lifestyle among UPTM employees.

REFLEXOLOGY MASSAGE THERAPY
The free Reflexology Massage Therapy, organized by OSH-FEST 2024, was held on Tuesday, 26 November 2024. This type of therapy is very important for improving workers' stamina, rebalancing the body after a long day of work, and can also help with mobility and strengthening leg muscles.

A total of 8 teams participated in the OSH-FEST 24 Treasure Hunt. The objective of this program was to foster team spirit and create a harmonious working environment.

MEGA HAVOC ZUMBA & GOTONG ROYONG PERDANA
The OSH-FEST 2024 Mega Havoc Zumba and Gotong Royong Perdana (Community Clean-up) was a huge success, celebrated by UPTM staff today.OSH-FEST 2024 has officially concluded with the final event, the Mega Havoc Zumba, a non-stop, one-and-a-half-hour Zumba workout.
The ceremony was officiated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Syamsul Fozy bin Osman, the Deputy Vice- Chancellor of Student & Alumni Affairs at UPTM.Congratulations to the OSH-FEST 24 Committee for successfully completing various exciting and beneficial activities for UPTM throughout the program.
